BRIEF HISTORY of the ENERGY SAVER

The brilliant outcome of research and technical cooperation between Taiwan and one of Japan’s largest and most famous manufacturers of industrial power-saving equipment, with over 30 years of experience in energy saving. With time, the efficiency of electrical appliances depreciates, resulting in higher consumption and undetected waste of electrical power. Factors such as old wires, diametric variances in wiring can affect voltage current. Unstable voltage supply causes an increase in resistance and results in poor quality power supply. The outcome is loss of electrical power and increase in costs. Loss of electrical power can occur naturally during transmission (this is called wire loss) or while starting or running electrical appliances. HOW DOES IT WORKS?

Based on real-world field studies and applications, adds a layer of power management to control the quality of power outputs. It partitions higher voltage to let the devices function normally with the lowest power voltage possible, thus achieving the effect of power saving. If suddenly the power voltage drops to lower than the required range, i.e. 102V instead of required 110V, it will automatically detect and provide power bypass within as little as twenty thousandth of a second to ensure the proper functioning of the equipments. The unit is targeted towards the customers with relative power voltage over the required specification. For example: the standard regulated voltage is 110V, and the actual supplied voltage is above 110V such like 112, 115, 117, or even 120V. When the supplied power voltage is higher, the effect is more significant.

The device has a 3-stage voltage monitor and control design; power-saving action is determined on the source signal indication, after 30 seconds of activation, and enters the first stage by decreasing 4.25V from the supplied voltage. After one hour of detection, if there is still room to decrease the voltage, the unit then enters the second stage by decreasing 9.5V. When the lowest voltage setting is set at 102V, when the supplied voltage is lower than 102V, will activate the BY PASS action.

OPERATING PROPERTIES

The ENERGY SAVER does not consume electricity itself. You can use it continuously 24 hours a day all year round for 10 years without its affecting your electrical costs. Suitable for inductive and capacitive appliances, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, stereos, fluorescent lamps, electric fans, televisions, induction cookers, microwave ovens etc. Plug the device in any of the indoor outlets of single phase 110V. The Forum Tech version can only be used in North America. It will not work in Europe or Asia. If your monthly electricity consumption is less than 1500kw you will need one (1), if it is more than 1500kw, you will need a maximum of two (2). Q1. What is the Energy Saver?

The ENERGY SAVER is a new, innovative device that filters the supply voltage while improving the efficiency and power factor of the electricity consumed in a home by electrical appliances. Its purpose is to save wasted electricity in homes, condominiums and apartments. It does not consume electrical energy. You can use it 24 hours a day all year round without increasing electricity expenses. The amount of energy that can be saved depends on factors such as the type of electrical appliances used (i.e. air conditioning, garbage disposal unit), the amount of electrical used and even the location of the home. Homes near shops, restaurants and light industries, where voltage supply is unstable and may fluctuate, will see higher savings. In addition to extending the life span of appliance motors, also reduces the reactive power generated by inductive loads. This helps utility companies by eliminating interference to the community power supply. The unit is a next generation device has been professionally tested and checked for compliance with International Safety Standards.

Q2. How Does the Unit Work?

The UNIT reduces the amount of power drawn from the utility by storing (in its capacitors) otherwise lost electricity (watts) caused by the inductive motors in your home. (Some examples of inductive motors are Air Conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, pool pumps, vacuum cleaners, furnace blower motors, fans etc.) The technology supplies that stored electricity back to the inductive loads of the house causing the home to require less electricity from the utility. This causes a decrease in demand from the utility. When there is a decrease the demand from the utility, the meter slows down coinciding with less use of electricity. When you have already paid for that electricity, why waste it when you can store it, and reuse it again. This whole process is called power factor optimization.

Q3. Why use the DEVICE?

All electrical equipment and appliances become less efficient over time. As the age, they consume more power in order to deliver the same service, hence the higher electricity bills. Since there are many appliances in every household, each with different power and current requirements, this affects the voltage and current consumption. Unstable supply voltages increase in resistance due to wire size and poor power supply which may result in power loss. It is designed to compensate for those inefficiencies.

Q4. Where do I plug the devise in?

It is so much stronger than our original Power Saver and is much more forgiving as to placement of the unit. The original power Saver was to be placed as close to the main power box as possible in order to be effective all over the whole house. This placement position is still true of the new product (if possible), but if you make a mistake and put it in the wrong place or away from the main power box, it will still work very effectively. As always, we will recommend as close to the main breaker box as possible, but anywhere close to the breaker box is also acceptable.

Q5. Is it easy to install?

You do not need a qualified technician or electrician to install the devise. Simply plug it into a wall outlet and turn it on.

Q6. How many units do I need?

We recommend one unit if your monthly average electricity consumption is 1500kw or less; if your monthly average is over 1500kw, then you will need two units for maximum savings.
